We’re looking for a talented Estimator with 5+ years’ experience in fire suppression, fire protection, or M&E estimating to join our growing Fire Suppression Company. Residential sector experience is preferred, but for the right candidate, we will provide training to transition skills from a commercial sector background. Responsibilities
- Produce accurate tenders, quotations, and cost estimates for fire suppression projects.
- Review specifications, drawings, and schedules to prepare detailed proposals.
- Use AutoCAD or Revit to support design and estimation.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to deliver competitive estimates on time.
- Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Support the growth of the estimating function with a view to stepping into leadership.
Key
requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ estimating experience in fire suppression, fire protection, or M&E.
- Residential experience preferred – commercial can be trained for the right candidate.
- Strong technical knowledge of fire suppression systems.
- In-depth knowledge of BS 9251 and BS EN 12845 highly desirable.
- Must have AutoCAD or Revit experience.
- Commercial awareness, excellent organisation, and strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with negotiation skills.
